The K1 Ultra surged in popularity in Sth Africa after the great results and exposure it received at the 2017 ICF World Canoe Marathon Championships held in Pietermaritzberg.
It also received worldwide recognition in 2018 when 10 x World Marathon Champion Hank McGregor paddled a carbon/bamboo composite of the K1 Ultra in a 10km time trail in South Africa in a time of 39 minutes flat.
The K1 Ultra X LV is Carbonology Sport’s take on a racing flat water kayak in a lower volume. Sporting a sleek design and comfortable platform seat that optimises the seating position, gives paddlers the ability to maximise their performance. The Ultra X LV comes with a pump system to drain any water that may enter the kayak, and the splash-lip and cockpit rim allow paddlers to fit a splash/spray deck cover.
Featuring an under-stern rudder and a countersunk rudder housing, this kayak can also be built in a river construction with a fitted overstern rudder.
